Our Turkeys

We have a small flock of four turkeys who were rescued in December 2025.  Sadly they were destined to become someone's Christmas dinner, but instead they can now enjoy their freedom and safety in our wood.  They were only around five months old when rescued, but turkeys can actually live around ten years.  When they first arrived, they were very intrigued by everything as they had never seen the light of day until they were rescued.  It's so sad to think what these sensitive and friendly birds endure at a time of year when we should be celebrating peace on Earth.

Please note, the turkeys are currently residing in a small section of the wood that is not open to the public.
