Tilly came to the wood in June 2021 from a nearby farm.  She was bought as a breeding sow, but didn’t fancy Joey the boar and failed to get pregnant.  The original owner refused to take her back, so we took her in.

Tilly is a sweet and gentle pig, despite her size.  She is still new though and is finding her place in the pig hierarchy.  She is enjoying the freedoms the wood offers, such as rooting, scratching, wallowing, fresh air and natural light, and the wide variety of food on offer.  It is hoped in time she will form a bond with another pig.
