Our unique goat Steve passed over the rainbow bridge on 22 June 2022. After struggling with kidney stones for the second time, his bladder leaked into his kidneys and he was in a lot of pain. The vet felt he was susceptible to digestive problems, possibly due to his previous diet.

Steve had an amazing personality, he was intelligent, cheeky, loving and a great mate to Pete, who misses him dearly as we all do.

His passing was totally unexpected as he had previously recovered well from his operation. Steve left a huge gaping hole in the wood. You will always be missed Steve X

Steve came to the wood after being picked up as a stray.  He was soon joined by his companion Pete, and the two were inseparable.

Steve was the more confident goat, and was the one most likely to get himself into trouble.  He was very friendly and sociable, but could headbutt when he got overexcited.
