Keith Moon was born on a commercial pig farm and was due to be slaughtered at six months old.  However, one of our volunteers lived nearby and had formed a bond with him.  Thankfully, he was saved from his fate and came to live here instead. 

Keith Moon arrived in August 2022, shortly after another piglet Solstice.  They hit it off immediately and have been inseparable ever since.

Keith very sadly and unexpectedly passed away peacefully in his sleep.  Our vet thinks he may have had an undiagnosed heart condition.  As you can imagine, it's a terrible shock to everyone at the wood as he was young and healthy and there was nothing to suggest he was unwell.  He was such a sweet boy and very popular with our volunteers.  We are making sure that Solstice is getting extra cuddles as she misses her best friend dearly.
