Beth

In August 2018 Beth passed away. She had been unwell and although she was treated by the vet with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicine for a viral infection, she gave up the fight. Her willpower to live was amazing, she managed to get herself into the mud hole to cool down, back into the shelter, then into another one and got herself a drink of water before collapsing onto the floor.

She was one of our original pigs rescued from slaughter in Cornwall, and was a Saddleback but without the typical stripe of the breed. Her son Raph watched as she was hoisted and taken away. She was only 13 years old, the natural life expectancy for a saddleback being around 15yrs old.

Goodbye Beth Xx
