Date added 27/10/20
Date need to move by: No set date
Number of pigs: 1
Reason for rehoming: Needs a new home because he has grown too big for the garden. He is much loved and his family want to make sure he goes to an excellent home where he can have a better quality of life.
Name/Breed/Ages/Size: Rasher, 5 years old, breed unknown but small, “roughly the size of a basset hound dog maybe a little taller”
Castrated/Spayed: Yes, castrated
Transport available: Family can transport within two hours of Hull.
Vaccinations/Worming/Health: Was recently wormed as of Oct 20.
Personality: He needs a pig experienced home only as his human says “Rasher has a great personality, loves to play, especially loves to chase me around the garden and being chased by me, he can be a little grumpy at times, he loves cuddles and getting a belly scratch however he will not tolerate anyone but me, very territorial when people are here, he has to be locked in his pen if we have company or he will just charge, ive tried to socialise him with other animals such as family dogs he was okay with them up until him being about 1 years old now he will just charge at them so we have to keep them separated, he can get really aggressive” . So we’re looking for a home that is willing to work with Rasher on his behavioural issues, some of which may be due to frustration. It’s also possible Rasher will find leaving his human very hard and grieve for her, as pigs can, so the new home needs to be able to help him through that process.
Updates from new home required: Nice but not essential
